A little something I wrote this morning.

I usually don’t write early in the morning,
however I woke up today and felt the urge to do so.
This is the result of that urge. 

“A January of the 21st Kind”

I’ve awoken to this morning in a somewhat strange mood.
Everything’s right in the world (the world my eyes know, at least.)
And nothing really feels “off” - even the lights are on in my kitchen now.
My country has a new president with a different skin.
But it’s not so much his skin that makes me glad,
it’s the fact that I believe in his ability to bring back our chivalry.
I’ve been free for 22 years now, but this is the first time I’ve really felt it.
