My Today.

I’ve sat in the same spot for the last 8 hours.
I’ve got a lot of work done on upcoming “projects”.
I’ve noticed in the past 5 minutes that I’m hungry as fuck.
I’ve been listening to The Academy Is’ new album on repeat for the duration of my sit, here in this semi-uncomfortable hotel desk chair in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
My throat feels a good bit better (it’s hurt like hell the past two days).
I’m stoked that my drive to tomorrow’s show (the next to last show of my Summer tour for BG) is only 4 hours away.
I’m definitely not stoked that as soon as the show ends tomorrow I have to drive 13 hours straight back to TN to play the last show of the tour in Murfreesboro.

Other than that, I’m excited about a lot of things.
I’ve got big plans for new ideas that will be put into work first thing next month.

This road is rough sometimes,
yesterday was definitely the hardest, both physically and mentally for me.
I was on top of the world at one point, then I woke up from a nap and realized I might as well had been sleeping on the ground a floor below to reach how far I had fallen. I still haven’t recouped from it, and there’s no way humanly possible that anyone knows what I’m talking about right now, but just know that I will learn and grow from it. This business is tough, and sometimes it’s good to be reminded that I can never stop working my ass off to make sure I stay in the position I am now. I will be making it a point to kick the rest of this year’s ass from here on out.

For now, I’m off to get up from this chair and out to get some food.

And by the way,
I still miss you. And I can’t wait for you to visit.
